Labour Day--A Favourite Long Weekend!!

What are you doing Labour Day Weekend?

One of my favorite weekends of the summer will include a canoe in Algonquin Park area, a stop in Kinmount Ontario for Fish & Chips on my way home for the Hamilton Toronto Canadian Classic.  (If I had more time I would be in Hamilton for the game), followed by a barbecue and a evening sit around the fire pit roasting marshmallows.  
Canadian football fans know the rivalry heats up on the Labour Day weekend with one of Canada's great traditions. Canada not Cuba During Summer Vacation Months

A  neighbour told me he was taking his family to Cuba in August, the peak of the Canadian summer season. I was flabbergasted to imagine doing this.  A tropical county in the winter I understand, in the summer ???  From a past experience having to work during the summer in a Caribbean country, I found the humidity, the heat and the potential for tropical diseases to be oppressive.

With a bias to Ontario and Canada I tried to talk him out this trip however he had already bought the tickets.
