More North of Toronto Atractions should be included in A Huffington Post Travel Family Fun Guide

Lets get out of  Southern Ontario to experience the open spaces, fresh water lakes, historical themed parks and resort destinations north of the GTA.  The article Theme Parks In Ontario: A Huffington Post Travel Family Fun Guide: clearly misses anything north of Canada's Wonderland. 

Discovery Harbour North of Toronto is run by Huronia Historical Parks

The story is good for Ontario and provides an Interesting take on Ontario Theme parks,  however it is short on the  many additional attractions, events, and other facilities north of Toronto.  Two of my favourite are in Simcoe County Ontario one in Midland and Penetanguishene Ontario and run by....Huronia Historical Parks.  We always enjoy the experience when taking visitors, friends, our kids and now our grand kids.  Although not themed parks with traditional amusements, there is lots of real life history to keep the kids amused and they often learn about Canadian culture and history.
